OUR STORY
A WORK IN PROGRESS Faith Community was launched in the Spring of 2021. Since being planted we have grown into a diverse and dynamic faith community that meets people where they are. We are part of the 1001 New Worshiping Communities movement and receive support from the Presbyterian Church USA. We are committed to building the beloved community, speaking the truth in love, caring for each other and whenever possible having fun.
ABOUT OUR LOGO
The seedling is set apart from the tree signaling that A WORK IN PROGRESS is a new and different Christian faith community. It has a different DNA as evidenced by the rainbow colors of the leaves. The colors of leaves represent the commitment of A WORK IN PROGRESS to being welcoming and affirming to all of God’s children.The seedling’s proximity to the trunk conveys that it is informed and nurtured by the tree. Similarly, A WORK IN PROGRESS is rooted in God the creator, the teachings of Jesus and the enduring presence of the Holy Spirit. The image of the seedling is indicative of a wide-open future filled with possibility and promise.
